Hi, my name is Marlene Griffin and I am the owner of Obesity-Facts-and-Help.com. I graduated from nursing school in 1977, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with honors. My mother was a nurse as well and I followed in her footsteps. As a child I would ask about her day and the types of sick people she took care of that day. I was always fascinated. She taught me how to take blood pressures at age 10, starting with my grandmother who had hypertension. I would read her medical dictionary and familiarized myself with the terminology. In high school I took four years of Latin to prepare for nursing. Needless to say, my dedication and commitment to nursing the sick and infirm began early. It continues today. Obesity-facts-and-help.com allows me to reach out to a greater number of people in need of reliable, well-researched, up-to-date information about obesity, weight loss, fitness exercise and diets from a nurse's point of view and a fellow overeater. Because we need help with our healthy weight loss efforts, I will be sharing my research with you on sensible, healthy weight loss plans, programs, ideas, tips, ebooks - everything I can possibly find.
